Re: Does 'Oppenheimer' finally tell us that Nolan isn't a Tory?
I think you're so left-leaning that you're assuming that a fact that Nolan is taking Oppenheimer side in this movie, and conservative Strauss portrayed as a villain is enough to say this movie is left leaning. It's much more complex movie. I said none of what you just said, so you'd be wrong in ass...

Re: Does 'Oppenheimer' finally tell us that Nolan isn't a Tory?
Anyone assuming Nolan is conservative (based on both his films and his previous interviews) just isn't using practical thinking skills. Honestly really glad this movie is so left-leaning so people would shut up with the assumptions. It's so funny that conservatives are so busy criticizing Barbie fo...

Re: Oppenheimer - General Information
Standard 70mm was still very good even at 2.20. When I first saw it on 15/70mm IMAX, I was concerned that seeing it cropped would significantly hurt the experience, but luckily it did not the second go-around. If anything, I'm excited because I know the home media releases will probably have expande...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
look i know oscars aren’t everything but cillian has to win, right? this is in the discussion of the best real life performance since peter o’toole it would be insane to give it to anyone else also think if the actors get recognized that bodes well for director/bp chances I don't trust anything in ...

Re: Box Office
So it definitely seems like Oppenheimer's doing much better at the box office than even the most optimistic predictions, but just how unprecedented is this kind of success for a historical film or biopic? And as much as I'd like to believe people are going out in droves to see this film because it'...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick
I really don't want him to go to Bond tbh. Especially if it's a franchise, I don't want the next 10 years to be devoted to him making something similar to what he's done before and confined to a set of ideas. Even films like Oppenheimer and Dunkirk gave him a level of immense freedom that I don't se...

Re: Diary: A NolanFans Story
I just had this thought. After he left Nolan for Transcendence, he did Amazon's The Tick and then like nothing else. Meanwhile Hoyte van Hoytema is pioneering IMAX camera work with Nolan and shooting non-stop bangers.

I might be wrong, but I think the User Review thread can have spoilers as long as you clearly tag them.
