Speaking at a fundraising event in McLean, Virginia, Biden told donors that he would remain focused on what matters most — helping the American people.

"Everybody always asks about impeachment. I get up every day — not a joke — *not* focused on impeachment. I’ve got a job to do. I've got to deal with the issues that affect the American people, every single solitary day."

Biden reflected on how Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene sought to impeach him his very first day in office. The extremist Republican, a leader in the party, did in fact file articles of impeachment one day after President Biden was sworn in. Biden added:

"I don’t know quite why, but they just knew they wanted to impeach me. And now, best I can tell, they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government."

“We're thankful that the Biden administration played the long game on sick days and stuck with us for months after Congress imposed our updated national agreement," Russo said. "Without making a big show of it, Joe Biden and members of his administration in the Transportation and Labor departments have been working continuously to get guaranteed paid sick days for all railroad workers.”

"There is something dangerous happening in America," Biden plans to say, according to excerpts released by the White House. "There is an extremist movement that does not share the basic beliefs of our democracy. The MAGA Movement."

"I have come to honor the McCain Institute and Library because they are home to a proud Republican who put country first," Biden will say. "Our commitment should be no less because democracy should unite all Americans – regardless of political affiliation."

Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign has joined Truth Social, a rightwing social media platform created by the Republican former president Donald Trump.

Using the handle @BidenHQ, the account says it is a “project of Biden-Harris 2024” and includes a banner image that says “the malarkey ends here”, referencing the president’s signature colloquialism.

For its profile image, the campaign chose a depiction of Biden as “Dark Brandon”, a meme that shows Biden with laser eyes and stems from the “Let’s Go Brandon” chant rightwing circles used to stand in for saltier language against the president. The stunt is the latest in a line of quips and memes from the president’s digital team.

“Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!” Biden’s campaign wrote in its first post on the platform.
