Roger Ebert is the barometer for Nolan films for me and because he died... that's a worrying sign. I will probably cancel my next two showings

Grace Randolph: "Why are Oppenheimer and Strauss so unlikable?"
Why does anyone even bother with her opinions on movies at this point? She knows fairly little about filmmaking, poses as an insider who gets "scoops" or rumours about mostly big budget IP-based films and she gets deservedly dunked on for her dumb takes by most serious film critics and James Gunn. Also, she treats filmmaking as only a commercial enterprise and that's just terrible.

Very few in the modern era have a resume like that. Fincher? Villeneuve? PTA?
